    "Adjusted volume" is the interior volume of a sauna (i.e. Width  x  Depth  x  Height) plus an adjustment to account for "cold surfaces" in the sauna (i.e. glass, tile, stone, etc. — but not including the floor). This adjustment is typically around +20% but can be more if your sauna has lots of cold surfaces (i.e. multiple large windows).

    This heater is rated for use in saunas with an adjusted volume of 100 - 210 ft³, which includes most 2-3 person saunas (based on average  sauna sizes, layouts & interior cold surfaces).     Harvia KIP might be the most popular sauna heater model that has ever existed. Harvia KIP is a traditional wall-mounted sauna heater in which durability and cheap price meet each other. It’s not unusual that we have customers calling looking to replace their 10+ years old KIP sauna heater. Maybe you’re one of them? KIP model heaters have very clear, minimalistic, and legendary design, that has been proven to work during the past decades.

    About External Controls for KIP Sauna Heaters

    Pairing the legendary Harvia KIP with a new-age external controller allows you to turn on your sauna room without having to access the heater. Xenio WiFi add-on also allows you to control the sauna through an app on your phone if you want to.

    The difference between KIP45W and KIP45B is that the B model has integrated controls, while this W is conveniently operated through the external control panel.

    You can cancel your order, before the product has shipped, free of charge. We will initiate a 100% refund on orders canceled before shipping.

    Returns

    The Harvia products have a 30 day return policy. Meaning that you can return the product as long as you let us know that you want to initiate a return during the 30 day period starting from the date the product is delivered to you.

    You can return this Harvia product if it is unused. Meaning you have not tried to install the product, nor used it in any way. If you have received your product with free shipping, you’re responsible for the return shipping cost. You will also have to pay a restocking fee of 35% from the final purchase price of the item you return. In case you return your product, once we have inspected it at the warehouse, and verified it’s unused, we will refund the card you used to purchase the Harvia according to this policy.

    Like this heater but need more (or less) kW power?

    You have options! This table lists all of the heaters in the Harvia KIP series and tells you the kW power and sauna size (adjusted volume) for each model.

    Models with a "W" after the number (i.e. KIP45W) use a Wi-Fi enabled external control unit (the Xenio CX170), while models with a "B" (i.e. KIP45B) have basic built-in controls. Also please note that the last 3 heaters (marked with an asterisk*) are for use in commercial buildings and run on 208V power (rather than 240V like most sauna heaters).
