    "Adjusted volume" is the interior volume of a sauna (i.e. Width  x  Depth  x  Height) plus an adjustment to account for "cold surfaces" in the sauna (i.e. glass, tile, stone, etc. — but not including the floor). This adjustment is typically around +20% but can be more if your sauna has lots of cold surfaces (i.e. multiple large windows).

    This heater is rated for use in saunas with an adjusted volume of 177 - 294 ft³, which includes most 3-4 person saunas (based on average  sauna sizes, layouts & interior cold surfaces). Your sauna may differ. We strongly recommend taking 20 seconds to verify your sauna's adjusted volume to ensure that this heater has sufficient power to heat your sauna.
